Parsippany is one of the greenest parts of New Jersey and is known as one of the best cities in New Jersey. With over 31 public parks to enjoy in the Morris County Parks System, you’ll never run out of trails to hike, paths to bike, lakes to fish, or places to sit and simply enjoy nature.  

Nearby public transportation is available to our residents at Vail Manor, with a bus station just a few minutes away. New York City is a short bus ride away and you’ll have easy access to several major highways, like Route 46 and Interstates 80, 280, and 287.

Looking for someplace fun to eat? We’ve got plenty of places within a short drive from Vail Manor. A few of our favorite local restaurants are Barka, for delicious Mediterranean seafood, Nikko, where you’ll get to feast on best sushi outside of Japan, Maddy’s, for authentic Mexican food, and Reservoir Tavern, a 75-year-old staple serving up delicious Italian food.  

Shopping and Entertainment 

Once you’ve filled your belly, go shopping at any of the nearby malls. With Target, Homegoods, Home Depot, and more so close by, you’re sure to find everything you need. There’s a Whole Foods only a 5-minute drive, making food shopping truly convenient. There are also several movie theaters nearby, so the new blockbuster you’ve been hoping to see is right down the road!

In nearby towns, be sure to check out The Frelinghuysen Arboretum, a regional center for horticulturists, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, where you can catch your favorite of the Bard’s productions, and The Stickley Center at Craftsman Farms, a stunning 30-acre country estate that belonged to the early 20th century designer, Gustav Stickley.
