Thank You Golden Resident, Rita Brooks, For 50 Years!

A Gift Of Thanks To A Golden Resident Of Garden Communities

During this season of Thanksgiving, we acknowledge all we appreciate and are grateful for. Family owned, Garden Communities has focused on designing, creating, and building extraordinary communities for over the past 60 years.  Our success is mainly attributed to the satisfaction and loyalty of our residents.  To show our appreciation, Garden Communities is honoring all “Golden Residents” — those who have been part of Garden Communities family for 50 years– by providing them with one-year free rent.

Customer satisfaction and a quality product are the corner stones on which Garden Communities is built.  A residence to enjoy, stay, and really call home, is the ultimate goal.   Our long term residents are a testament to Garden Communities commitment to each and every patron.

How Rita Came To Garden Communities

Rita Brooks, from Westmount Village in Passaic County, has just become one of the newest members of the elite “Golden Resident” club.  Her husband George had already been living at Westmount when they met, fell in love, and married.  Rita moved in and instantly found her forever home.  George was in construction and Rita loved the personal touches he gave to their residence, creating a home that they would spend many happy years together.

The Story of Rita’s Life In Westmount Village

Rita has two children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, proving that a Garden apartment is a family home. Rita became a bank teller, and eventually a trainer, and head teller at what is now the local Wells Fargo.  She retired after 29 years and currently enjoys spending her free time with Lucy, her tabby cat, and several friends at Westmount.

One of the reasons Rita loves her apartment is the community of people she’s come to know and love over the years. Enjoying a cup of coffee out on the deck, or a game of dominos with neighbors Iris and Dave, are always something she looks forward to. With such kind and helpful neighbors, Rita always has those she can rely on. Rita and another friend, Marla, step in to help each other out when cat sitting is needed, and Dave is always there to lend a helping hand with heavy lifting.

Don’t let Rita’s “Golden Resident” status and laid-back attitude fool you—she’s a lady to be reckoned with! Tai Chi and Qigong classes at the nearby Little Falls Recreation Center have always kept Rita active and involved in some of her favorite past times. Inspite of her martial arts background, Rita attributes her sense of wellbeing to her home.

“I feel really safe here.  You can’t put a price on safety” Rita explains.  “I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be”, Rita continues.

Garden Communities celebrates and honors all their Golden Residents, with much gratitude, and appreciation.  Residents like Rita are why Garden Communities continues their mission to create homes in which families and friends can happily reside for many, many years to come.  Thank you Rita!
